… strumming my life with its words.
“Faster than a speeding bullet! More powerful than a locomotive! Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound! (“Look! Up in the sky!” “It’s a bird!” “It’s a plane!” “It’s a Kindle!”)… Yes, it’s a Kindle … strange visitor from another planet, who came to Earth with powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal men! Kindle … who can change the course of mighty rivers, bend steel, fight a never-ending battle for truth, justice, and the American way!”
I have been “Kindled” and there is no putting out this fire!
I will forever relish the stacks of books lining the shelves in my family room, the smells of new text, and the calls of bookstores and libraries, far and wide… but I am now shamelessly and forever in love with this tablet.
Come on, you know you want one….
I want one really, really bad. It’s time for me stop thinking about it and just do it. When am I going to make the leap?

Mine was a gift – or I would have stewed about it for 2 years… considered a used one… attempted to make do with the iPhone app (which is okay, if you like reading a book the size of Tic-Tac box)!
I had some of that “no-longer-buying-the-printed-word” guilt, but after just a few
minutesseconds on the Kindle, the guilt just melted away…!Thanks for stopping by – I had a great time reading your blog. Too funny – loved the “head push” story, been there!
I have a Nook (Barnes and Noble version of a Kindle) and love it, especially for traveling and reading while laying down…no awkwardness trying to prop a several hundred page book up while trying to keep the pages open 🙂
I’m the recipient of an all expense paid vacation to a tropical place (God willing and the river don’t rise) and the Kindle was an add on so that I will not weigh myself down (as usual) with a bunch of books and not enough underwear! Another benefit – I can hold at least one cocktail, while adjusting my sunglasses and not lose my spot! YES!!
YAY! I am so glad you love it so much! xoxo
